TRAFFIC CONTROL

There continues to be a lot of discussion surrounding traffic and the control of traffic in both the Town and Village, particularly on 5/20 on the west of the village, route 15A, and the 5/20 & Doran Rd intersection.  Doing some digging recently on the processes for trying to get any changes implemented I found NYS Senate Bill 2025-S2713 which "Authorizes cities, villages, and towns to adjust the speed limit for portions of state highways that are particularly dangerous". This has been referred to the Transportation Committee each of the last 2 January sessions.   I feel that this has the potential to be a great tool for the people who live in our communities across NYS and would give more weight to views and opinions of those living in the affected areas.
